CrossFit Mayhem Freedom Announces Final Two Teams Rosters

CrossFit Mayhem Freedom recently announced their two final teams rosters for that upcoming 2018 CrossFit Games season. Over the last couple of months, athletes have wondered who would fill the 2 respective teams (Freedom & Independence) rosters coming out of CrossFit Mayhem Freedom, especially since team sizes were changed from six to four athletes.

Yesterday, CrossFit Mayhem Freedom shared a photo including all of the members about this year’s Mayhem Freedom teams. The 2 team’s rosters can be seen below.

Special because of the Morning Chalk Up, which reported about this story early this morning. They’re the minds behind our favorite fitness and motivational videos of the recent years; check it out here.

CrossFit Mayhem Freedom

  • Rich Froning
  • Matt Hewett
  • Tasia Percevecz
  • Lindy Barber

CrossFit Mayhem Independence

  • Angelo DiCicco
  • Darren Hunsucker
  • Kristin Miller
  • Elly Kabboord

For context, both of these CrossFit Mayhem Freedom teams came of interest at the begining of November 2017, as CrossFit Mayhem Freedom first announced that?Tasia Percevecz would be joining them; former team member Kristin Reffett ended up moving away from Cookeville, Tennessee.

Soon following this announcement, Dave Castro dropped the news at the 2017 CrossFit Invitational that some formats would be changing for that 2018 CrossFit Games season, which included the sizes of teams to become dropped from six members to four.

Then, go forward to 24-hours later when CrossFit Mayhem Freedom shared the Instagram video below that highlighted they’d be forming two teams titled: CrossFit Mayhem Freedom and CrossFit Mayhem Independence. Within the video’s description they poked fun at who would be equipping both teams.

All of the members on CrossFit Mayhem Freedom’s two teams have competitive CrossFit experience, so it’s going to be interesting to determine the way they both perform alongside one another. Also, the teams are split pretty evenly with members in the 2017 CrossFit Mayhem Freedom team, that is definitely a good thing because they’ll probably have similar mindsets when it comes to working, staying motivating, and building together.

It’s no secret that this past year Wasatch CrossFit upset Froning’s Mayhem Freedom, which made the 2017 Reebok CrossFit Games the first year since 2010 that Froning didn’t find himself inside a to begin with finish (individual or team). Two elite teams having a drive towards redemption? This is likely to be a thrilling CrossFit team season.
